These replacement Viton O-rings are used on all top and bottom octagonal plates that fit our 15 x 15 x 6 in. octagonal Ideal Vacuum Cube modular chambers. They are are used to create a vacuum tight seal between the octagonal frame and plate.
These o-ring seals are installed on the inner sealing groove of the plate. They are made of Viton and can be baked up to 150 degrees Celsius without permanent deformation. Chambers sealed with Viton O-rings can achieve vacuum in the 10-8 Torr range (high vacuum).
