This is a SHORT CGA-320 to 1/4" MNPT stainless steel fitting with included Teflon washer. Nipple length is 1.75 in. This size CGA fitting is used to connect regulators to compressed gas cylinders with a flat gasketed seal and a maximum pressure of 3000 psig. This CGA-320 fitting, PN: SEQ3204SSL, is rated for use with the gases listed below. The Teflon washer is not typically reuseable. See part number P1012970 for replacement washers.
CGA-320 for use with:
Connections to cylinders should never be forced. CGA fittings mated between regulator and cylinder never use pipe dope or PTFE tape. CGA connections use either a bullet-nose or gasketed seal. The bullet nose connection has a metal-to-metal contact and seal. Some bullet-nose connections have an o-ring to help improve the seal and to allow a connection to be made without a wrench (hand-tight connections). A gasketd connection requires a flat washer to make the seal. CGA fittings are available in several materials including brass, stainless steel, nickel or chrome-plated brass, and Monel. The CGA fitting material to use depends on the gas and cylinder pressure.
